Thanks to everyone for either commenting or trying to comment!!! Especially Trish and Deb who seem to have worked it out, love hearing from you all. There is such bad coverage here I have a very limited time to do anything with the blog but will try to keep you all informed about where we are and what we are doing. There are also issues...I've been told...... about the standard of editing - apparently Pam wants more input, sadly time constraints prevent her from fully participating in proofreading the final product, therefore the standards are not up to the usual highs. I'll try harder next time.
Off to Lake Argyle tomorrow, not sure about coverage.
Another early start so we could get to Zebedee Springs,
these are warm springs (28 to 30 degrees) coming from the ranges at El Questro. Got in as they opened at 7am and were the
only ones there, took some interesting photos in the water…which distorted our
bodies somewhat, the water was so clear and so warm, just had to drag ourselves
out for departure to Emma Gorge.
This is probably one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever
seen. The walk took about 40 minutes to
get into the pool/waterfall but the view was breathtaking. Almost looked like a movie set it was so
perfect. Had another swim then got back
in the truck for the return to El Questo ‘township’ for lunch.
After lunch went to El Questro Gorge, almost took an hour
getting to the swimming hole at halfway Point (which was only halfway through
the walk). Had a swim and admired the
view. The pool wasn’t in the league of
Emma Gorge, but the walk was better.
Through tropical palms in the desert, with the red cliffs on either side.
Late drive back to camp where we enjoyed tea at the pub and
settled in for an early night…sort of.

ReplyDeleteOops not sure what happened there above! Totally gorgeous and you all look just so rapt to be a part of this landscape! Love it! D & J xxoo
ReplyDeletemmm not too sure about the Tarzan shots! The cleanliness of the water is unbelievable - reminds me of Canada (just had to slip my trip in here! Have to get as much mileage out of it as possible probably never go anywhere again!) It is great seeing photos of places you learnt about in school. I wonder how anyone finds such remote locations but how lucky are we that someone did! Take care love T & G xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb and Trish, Loving these gorges and the colours around us, the scenery is similar to our coastal trip last year but I have to agree with you that it is similar to Canada, or Italy, or Ireland and even France (sorry to bring all that up but I know you'll understand Trish!!) - in that each day brings postcard views in every direction. Love Pam and Vernon
